Competitive Gymnastics is not like seasonal sports. There is no off-season. Training for Competitive Gymnastics is basically a way of life. Other sports usually cannot be played in conjunction with this highly labor intensive sport. Most often girls are invited to begin training for competition by the age of 6 or 7. This is not to say a child can't train and be ready to start a successful competitive career at an earlier or later time. Olympia is always willing to give a girl that is strong, athletic, and committed a chance to be evaluated to potentially train and compete.
Preteam practices twice a week on Mon and Wed from 4:00-5:00pm or Tues and Thurs from 6:00-7:00. Preteam invitations are given in November or December. If your child is the best in her class and is interested in working hard please let us know.
Olympia's team is highly competitive, organized and well run. The staff is highly qualified and committed to their gymnasts. Coaches Katherine and Terek offer a fantastic flex schedule that makes it a little easier to make this big jump to team. Competitive Gymnastics involves the whole family and we are proud to offer such a wonderful, character-building program. Lessons our girls learn in the gym benefit them for life. We are very proud of all of our gymnasts.
If you think your child has what it takes, the office staff is willing to give you all necessary information and schedule an evaluation.
